The left-hand side of the screen is the Crafting Recipe section, and shows the items required for the selected recipe, items the crafted item can be used with, and items in your inventory or the vicinity, highlighted in red if they can be used in this recipe. The right-hand side of the screen is the Crafting List section, and contains the various crafting recipes.
